About us
There's no need to follow the norm when I dictate my own terms. Others may be busy cooking, but me, I'm just kooking.
How it all begins
Our journey began in 2020
Remember the time when COVID-19 strikes and everybody panics? Remember how we were all told to stay at home, practice social distancing, and basically “self-quarantine” until the outbreak is contained? Remember how great it is for the whole family to be closed together, Every Single Day?
Great times then … but it never lasts …
My family is hungry every minute of the day
My daily routine
The kids woke up early, and they are hungry, exceptionally hungry. So that means I have to wake up early to prepare their breakfast, and then grandma came in to the kitchen, saying she’ll only eat after her exercise. I know that ..
As I’m cleaning up the dishes after the kids, hubby woke up and he is hungry. Then after clearing up for him, again need to prepare breakfast for grandma and grandpa. Imagine the routine for the rest of the day.
Everybody is quarantined at home, yet I'm stucked in the kitchen
Get me out of the kitchen !
Don’t get me wrong. I love my family and I love preparing meals for them. I’ll love them more if they can all eat at the same time!
The bugbear is the meal preparations. The constant chopping, cutting, blending and the whole mess in the kitchen means that I’m basically “quarantined” in the kitchen for the whole day till after their suppers. Yes, they do take suppers too. And their suppers are never just a glass of milk. Told you they are always hungry.
The day when my kids called me the cooker
I'm not the cook ... I'm the kook
I know I’m not crazy, eccentric or foolish, but I do look so when I’m in the kitchen. I know there must be better ways of doing things in the kitchen. Meal preparations should never be a chore and should be easy peasy. There must be gadgets that made my life easier. I began to search, and search hard, and I found lots of it. And then I found friends who are facing the same problems as me. And then we decided that we should never be a slave to the kitchen, nor to the family. And so, this shop is opened. Our motto ?
My Kooking.
My Kitchen.
My Rules.
